UK Border Control
2021 UK border requirements
UK has left the EU. The transition period ended December 31, 2020.
Cargo moving between the UK and the EU have to undergo customs formalities and border control. If your company is involved with the trading or movement of goods between the UK and EU countries or vice versa, you are affected. The UK’s new status in Europe requires more paperwork for vendors doing business in and through the UK. All importers and exporters need be aware of these new rules and regulations.
Import and export declarations are now required for all goods. Most declarations are a combined customs and safety and security declaration. However, where a combined declaration is not used an export safety and security declaration will need to be made.
