Container load emissions
OneMed prioritises reducing its impact on the environment in the way it transports its products to its customers. The company was therefore focused on finding a transport supplier that could offer a CO2-reduced solution for its container loads transported from its supplier in Blackwood, UK, to its warehouse in Gardermoen, Norway.
Solution
Decarbonised transport - by sea and road
With our decarbonised solution we were able to meet OneMed’s demand for a reduced CO2e impact on the route. The solution starts with a container pick up from OneMed’s supplier in Blackwood, UK by a conventional truck. The container is driven to and loaded onto our ferry in Immingham and sailed to Frederikstad, which provides an indirect saving of CO2e. Upon arrival in Frederikstad, the container is picked up by electric trucks to deliver the goods to OneMed’s warehouse in Gardermoen.

Results
Reduced emissions
With our decarbonised solution, OneMed anticipates a reduction of up to 75% absolute emissions TTW, stemming from both indirect CO2e savings on the ferry and the use of electric trucks upon arrival in Norway. These savings enable OneMed to receive a unique and externally assured certification that it can use to report its Scope 3 emissions.
