Deck tickets on Paldiski-Kapellskär route

Planning your journey from Estonia to Sweden by car? Consider choosing a deck ticket on a morning-departing ship. This is the most affordable option you can choose, because you can save up to 30€¹ by travelling without a cabin. Despite the voyage lasting just 10 hours, opting for a deck ticket is perfect for those valuing affordability, simplicity, and comfort.

What's more, with two morning sailings per week from Paldiski towards Kapellskär every Thursday and Friday, it's the perfect way to kick off a weekend in Sweden.

¹The comparison is about the cost per traveller when four people travel together in one car with a deck ticket vs traveling in a 4-berth cabin without the window.

Why choose a morning departure?

  • The most affordable option – deck ticket prices start from just €20 per traveller. Of course, if you prefer, you can also travel in a cabin, which offers privacy and the chance to rest comfortably in a bed.
  • The departure from Paldiski is at 10:30 AM, arriving in Kapellskär at 7:00 PM. Evening traffic is lighter, and if your route takes you through Stockholm, you can enjoy a peaceful drive.
  • A daytime ferry trip is calm – if you need extra time to work on your computer, a daytime trip allows you to focus without interruptions. Pre-order a Wi-Fi package and get a 10% discount.
  • Daytime trips are also ideal for travellers with motorhomes or caravans. The Kapellskär port is located in a stunning region, where you’ll find lovely spots nearby for your first overnight stay.

Tip! Look for a parking spot on the website www.park4night.com, where fellow travellers have shared great places to park. The site lists official caravan parks as well as beautiful locations where you can legally spend a night in Sweden.

What should I need to know when buying a deck ticket?

  • Our exclusive deck tickets are available only on Paldiski-Kapellskär and Kapellskär-Paldiski morning departures.
  • Towards Kapellskär, we have morning sailings twice a week, on Thursday and Friday. Towards Paldiski there are 3 morning departures a week, on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
  • Our deck tickets are designed for those aged 16 and above. Please note, for safety and comfort, you can’t travel with children under 16 and infants with this ticket type.
  • If you are traveling with a pet, please choose a pet cabin, because you ’re not allowed to travel with deck ticket with a pet. We prioritize the well-being of your pets and other travellers.
  • Please note that a deck ticket limits you to certain areas on the ship, and there is no designated lounge with reclining seats for rest.
