DFDS sells Oslo-Frederikshavn-Copenhagen route to Gotlandsbolaget

We have today announced that we will sell the Oslo-Frederikshavn-Copenhagen route to Gotlandsbolaget.

The vessels Pearl Seaways and Crown Seaways and all operations, crew and staff will be part of Gotlandsbolaget with a target date of 31st October 2024.

The route will continue to operate as normal both before and after October 2024. If you already have a booking, your ticket will remain valid, and you can enjoy the wonderful experience of the Oslo-Frederikshavn-Copenhagen crossings. To make a new booking, please do so in the normal way via www.dfds.com.

The Oslo-Frederikshavn-Copenhagen route has always been part of DFDS, and it is not an easy decision to part ways with the route.

However, DFDS has grown and developed significantly over the years and today, we operate within transport and logistics across more than 20 countries and while we still focus on passengers, it is more from a transportation need perspective than a passenger experience perspective.

We as DFDS will be very sad to say goodbye to the route but are delighted that Gotlandsbolaget will take on this iconic route as they will be better suited to develop the experience of this route into the future to benefit both staff and passengers.
