Interesting Copenhagen Streets
Explore the charming little streets of Copenhagen
Copenhagen is more than just Strøget and Nyhavn! The streets of Copenhagen have lots of charm and a wonderful atmosphere. There are many to choose from, but we will try to make the choice of where to go easier for you. Eat raw food in Pilestræde, experience the French atmosphere in Værnedamsvej, experience the trendy and bohemian in Larsbjørnstræde or enjoy the cafes in Gammel Strand.
Pilestræde
This quiet and fashionable street has a lot of fashion boutiques, nice cafes and cool bars. The clothing store NagPeople has all the latest and trendy brands and is every individualist fashionista's dream. If you are looking for new sneakers, you should go to Naked. Here you will find a large selection of sneakers for women, both Adidas, New Balance and Nike. Pilestræde also has a very cool cafe named 42 Raw. This is Copenhagen's first raw food bar which serves many good salads and other good that is fried at a maximum of 42 degrees.
Værnedamsvej
Why not visit Paris when you are first in Copenhagen? Værnedamsvej is known as just this among the Copenhageners. A small and lively shopping street with a French atmosphere, nice, small cafes and niche shops. Take a tour of Dora to look at beautiful interior design, and Playtype for the coolest prints. At Les Trois Cochons you can serve traditional French cuisine and really take in the French atmosphere.
To complete the tour, a delicious glass of wine is recommended at Falernum.
Gammel Strand
If you just want to relax inside a cozy cafe or sit outside in the sunshine this is the street for you. Some say that the sun shines longer in this street, so this is a popular spot to go for a night out after work. Choose from amazing hamburgers at Cock's and Cows before heading to the tropical cocktail bar Fugu. Here you can sit outside under the heat lamps or inside the "garden" among lemon trees and lavender.
Larsbjørnsstræde
The old Latin Quarter, also known as "Pisserenden", contains many different streets and fun places. Larsbjørnsstræde goes from Nørre Voldgade to Teglgårdsstræde and is a street with trendy shops for the younger ones. Here you will find many colorful shops and delicious restaurants and cafes.
Have a drink at The Living Room, shop vintage at Carmen & Fantasio or grab a burger at Halifax Burger if hunger catches you up.
